This is an intense, well written story. Whether on land or on the sea in search of the idol Ally Blue makes Luke and Austin's story intensely sexual, romantic, caring and sensitive. Carson Cordova, the man who adopted Luke for his own needs is as evil as they come in fact or fiction. The Collector and his assistant who are the only common thread in this series are true humanitarians with a finger on the pulse of everyone's life. Each character either ties us to them or fills us with disgust because of the author's gift of creating a true picture of them in our minds. Every scene, whether making love, diving beneath the ocean, walking down a corridor on a ship, watching a storm gather across the Gulf, is painted so that with very little imagination we can see the place and the people. Thankfully Ms. Blue fades away when Luke is being beaten but, before she does, we empathize with his pain. This is as good as a book can get that has involves such a serious subject as abuse while building an intense love story.

The Collector 04: Eight Arms to Hold You is amazingly unique. Austin and Luke are a beautiful and captivating couple. Their struggle to be together moves the story along at a quick pace, keeping readers glued to the pages. Ms. Blue is a master at creating an erotic romance and the paranormal element in her story serves to enhance the already sweet love shared between the characters. Readers will find this a very hot and emotional read.

Ms. Blue creates characters that grab the attention and hearts of readers. The suspense level of the plot makes this story even more exciting. If you are looking for something entirely different with a high level of sensuality, this is the book for you.

Ally Blue demonstrates her special gift with the creation of a taut plot and heroic male protagonists who aren't afraid to experience and to reveal emotional vulnerability. Luke and Austin are imperfect and thus very realistic characters who are almost afraid to trust what destiny has brought them. The secondary characters are also well-constructed, and the addition of the paranormal element will entice many readers as well. The m/m romance thread is touching and heart-warming, and is written in a manner which will find a large number of fans, as Ms. Blue once again tugs on her readers' heartstrings. The Collector 4: Eight Arms to Hold You is a fine addition to The Collector series {by various authors} and a wonderful introduction to writer Ally Blue.

Ally Blue brought the characters in this book to life so well that Luke’s situation and his strength to survive will definitely touch you. Confused with all the changes, Luke turns to Austin, just the person to bring him into the real world, a world not controlled by Carson. Carson is so evil that you can’t wait for him to get some payback. You will want to reach into the pages and help save Luke. Emotional, tense, and very hot, Eight Arms to Hold You will keep you reading long into the night. Ally Blue is one author you do not want to miss.
